The Queens Birthdays:
_Catalina, December 16th_
Catalina, peacefully sitting the living room at 7 AM enjoying her coffee:
Anne holding a box at the top of the stairs: Lina! Happy Birth- [Proceeds to tumble down the stairs and land at the bottom face first]
Anne: [Proceeds to stay still, appearing unconscious face down]
Catalina: [Slight concern about to get up to check on Anne]
Anne springing up on her feet suddenly okay again, holding out the box: -day! Happy birthday! This is for you.
Catalina: [Sigh of relief and disappointment] Thank you.
Catalina taking the box: Lord almighty it is going to be a day…
_Anne, November 19th_
Anne peacefully sleeping in her room:
The Queens, bursting open the door all holding presents: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNE!!!
Anne disturbed and annoyed from being awaken from her slumber, standing upon her bed and grabbing pillows: THOU SHALL NOT PROCEED WITH ANY EMOTIONAL THOUGHT TOWARDS SUCH A GESTURE, THOUST DOES NOT CARE OF TODAY NOR THE PLACEMENT OF TIME. THE SUN HAS NOT YET RISEN SO NOR HAVE THOU!!!! EXIT MY CHAMBERS!! [Throws a attack of pillows at the queens until they exit the room]
[2 hours later]
Anne rushing downstairs in a panic: Oh my goodness, Queens I am so sorry! I didn’t go to sleep til late last night and I was really tired!
The Queens: [Holding out presents to Anne with a decorated house behind them]
Anne: [Tearing up] You guys-
_Jane, July 17th_
[The queens take Jane out to a restaurant as per her request, Jane ends up drinking too much wine, and gets very drunk]
Jane, suddenly very sad as she’s dragged into their home with her Arm around Anna to stay standing: You guys love me right?
[Very quickly]
Aragon: Yes.
Anna: No one I’d rather carry home while she’s drunk.
Kat: You’re literally my mom. You’re my favorite.
Anne: You feed us and you haven’t poisoned me yet, so yes.
Cathy: We would literally be dysfunctional and hysterical 24/7 without you.
Jane smiling at the sweetness, and getting teary eyed: I love you guys so much! [Starts sobbing]
The rest of the Queens hugging her: We love you too Jane.
_Anna, September (June? July?) 22nd_
Anna: [Walks into the house, holding six puppies in her arms, looking very proud of herself]
The Queens: [Holding a bunch of presents in their hands, all wearing the funny german stereotype hats that Anna loves because she finds them funny]
Anna:
The Queens:
Catalina: Is that six puppies-
Anna, running upstairs quickly with her puppies: I love you guys so much but it’s my birthday so you can’t be mad at me and I can keep them! I’ll be down in a second!
The Queens: . . .
_Kat, [Birthday so freaking unknown it’s a literal guess what year she was born]_
The Queens busting into the living room, as Kat is napping on the couch: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Kat very sleepily, sitting up: Uhhh, I don’t know when my birthday is you guys. Nice try at guessing though.
Jane: We decided to make today your birthday silly! You deserve a birthday as well love.
Kat still waking up: Deserve Birthday? I’ve never had a birthday celebration before.
The Queens: [Really shocked and sad but this revelation]
Jane, suddenly angry but doing her best to hide it from Kat: Well! Screw all of this historical jerks! You deserve a birthday and it’s gonna be the best birthday ever!
The Queens: YEAH!!!!
Kat, more awake and more emotional: Yeah I uhm- Okay. That sounds great. I really love you guys.
The Queens: We love you too Kat! [Proceeds to all give Kat hugs and presents]
_Cathy, August 26th_
Cathy: [Napping in the kitchen, facedown on the counter top, and abandoned half full cup of coffee next to her]
Cathy: [Stirs at a tap on her shoulder, puts her head up blinking the sleep away]
Cathy, now confused: [Notices the blanket around her shoulders, and the pillow her head was under that she did not fall asleep on when she first fell asleep]
Cathy, noticing the mass of presents in front of her on the counter top: ????
The Queens behind her: Happy birthday Cathy!
Cathy turning around in confusion: ???
Kat rushing up to hug her: Look at the clock silly!
Cathy: [See’s the time is 0:01 in the morning (12:01 AM)]
Cathy, smiling and slightly emotional from that fact they remembered: Thanks you guys. [Invites the rest of them for hugs]

[Likes and Reblogs are appreciated!!]
Here is the #4 Ranked Squad in the Universe!!!
From left to right we have Serial Designation D, Serial Designation K and Serial Designation Q!!!
Serial Designation D (Danielle) was once a security guard drone in the Elliot Mansion, known for her skills of stealth and being very nonverbal, she is one of the most effective drone killers in her squad. She may not seem like the type, but she becomes very close the the things she loves, and will protect her team no matter the cost. In the mansion, D would be one of the guards to be lookout during the “Drone Days!” In which much of the Elliot mansions drones would be able to act like humans and have fun, dance and show their talents, without the looming eyes of their usual threats. After gaining her freedom from under the watchful eye of JCJENSON, D picked the name Danielle, her mission now being to serve the solver and make sure no harm comes to her family.
Serial Designation K (Katherine/Katie) was a playful, lighthearted babysitter to Tessa James Elliot when she was in her younger years, before Serial Designation J became her teenage friend and caretaker. Though she had to often work with J, it didn’t mean she favored her by any means, thinking the worker drone was too uptight, rude and fake when around Tessa. It was because of this that K mostly hung out with V and N, completely enamored with Vs obvious crush for the male worker drone. When she wasn’t working with J to help Tessa and the Elliot’s with their daily routines and events, she was playing dress up with Tessa, hanging out with V and N or the other more lighthearted drones in the manor. During “Drone Days” , K was one of the ones known as the life of the party with her little group and held most of the party activities for the others to get in on alittle fun away from the humans. Deep inside, K still loves JCJENSON and her time in the manor, but follows her squad where ever they go, even if she doesn’t exactly love serving the Hivemind that is the solver. In the end, she still likes to be called K, but her friends have adopted a more official name of Katherine or Katie to her as a nod to their past loyalty to the humans of JCJENSON.
Serial Designation Q (Quinn) is the leader of the #4th ranked squad on Copper 9! Known for her charisma and absolute loyalty to the solver Hivemind, she always leads her team into their daily routine with confidence and determination! Back in the mansion, Q was the head of general arrangements for the Elliot’s, meaning she always had to be creative, eccentric and charismatic for their liking, or else…well every drones knows what happens to drones who rebel. Not loyal to JCJenson, but loyal to the humans who gave them work, Q often gains attached to those who offer, whether verbally or not, to take care of her and the ones she loves. After the core collapse on Earth, most of what she knew being destroyed and CYN sending the Disassembly Drones to Copper 9, she makes sure to follow the rules, do EXACTLY what she is supposed to, and make sure her teammates have fun in the process, all so she can please the being that saved her brothers and sisters from never ending purgatory.
(These Disassembly Drones also exist in my Absolutely book universe, just a little different looking 👀)
#I came up with K first!#I’m planning to do the other squads as well#well except N V and J of course#but these are for my absolutely fic and beyond#I really hope we see more DDs in a Season 2!!!#murder drones#murder drones fanfic#murder drones future AU#murder drones of#dissasembly drone#md absolutely fic#starryinkartwork

Chapter 18
Warnings: None. (Will however be a 18+ reader book)
Copyright: I do not own any Marvel characters or locations. However, I do own a few OCs like Elizabeth, Katherine, Stacy, and Jessie. I do not condone any copying of this.
You dove to the stage floor as the bomb went off, sending tremors through the entire building. You glanced upwards, seeing Wanda on her feet, hands red as she held up the rubble that was threatening to collapse on the people in the bar. Wong and Stephen created two portals for people to run through which get them out into the parking lot. Along with that, Pietro was grabbing some of the small kids, running them out the door as fast as he could.
You could smell something burning and then remembered that Elizabeth had been right next to you.
You couldn't see her at the moment, but you could see that the fire was spreading around you on the stage, trapping you.
Shit, where was she?
And then suddenly, there was a whooshing sound and water started to run through the building, specifically around the stage, putting out the fire. You found Elizabeth standing on the stage, her feet planted firmly on the floor, hands out, eyes glowing blue as she maneuvered the water to put out the fire.
Pietro gaped as he watched her. Bucky leaped onto the stage, kneeling next to you as you pushed yourself up onto your knees. "You alright doll?"
"Yeah." You answered as the water slowly splashed to the floor, Elizabeth's eyes turning back to brown.
"Told you there were some suspicious people on this island." Elizabeth sighed, unfazed, before hopping down off the stage.
"Are you alright?" Vision asked while Pietro asked, "You have powers?"
"Yes and yes. I can control and manipulate water and flick ice out of my hands." Elizabeth stated as easily as though she was talking about the weather. She turned to me, "I'm supposing this is about the prophesy."
You flushed, "yeah."
Elizabeth nodded, "Makes sense. Well, do you at least know how to defend yourself with a gun or something?"
"Er-"
"I'll take that as a no." Elizabeth muttered.
"I have protection detail." You said, jabbing your thumb at your soulmates.
"Very true." Elizabeth said with a small smile and then looked up at the roof, "Perhaps we should move before the roof collapses on our heads."
"I wouldn't let that happen." Wanda said, still holding it up.
"Oh, I know, I was just suggesting that we get out of this building before the other bombs go off." Elizabeth said nonchalantly.
"There's more bombs? How do you know that?" Fury and Tony asked at the same time.
Elizabeth just looked at them over her shoulder, "You can't hear the ticking?"
Everyone fell silent. She was right. The ticking was actually really loud, but over the sound of us singing you couldn't have heard it.
We quickly left the building. Elizabeth's mother quickly bombarded her, asking her a thousand questions, and was extremely angry with the way that she had put herself in danger. Vision quickly interfered, though his calming words didn't little to appease her mother.
Meanwhile, Fury and Coulson were making calls to see if they could get some SHIELD agents- trustworthy ones only- and get them to check things out. Meanwhile, a Nassu bomb squad was called out and everyone was moved away from the karaoke stand and then the rest of you headed back to the hotel.
Back in the hotel, you guys all went up to Clint's room since it was completely empty and you all talked it out.
"The thing is," You added as they all had their own theories. "They knew that we'd be at the Scuba diving and then also Karaoke. Which means that either. . . well. . ."
You couldn't really finish the uncomfortable sentence. It felt to awkward or light to say that there was an imposter amongst you.
"Well we can rule out anyone soulmated to you." Loki said firmly. "Soulmates protect theirs, not hurt them."
"What if it's not a traitor?" Clint asked, "What if someone is bugged, or the rooms are bugged?"
"Maybe we should just do nothing for the next two days." You said, "We're lucky someone wasn't killed today."
Rhodey agreed.
"What about this Elizabeth chick?" Tony asked, "She seemed way to calm during the bombs. And how nonchalantly she talked about them."
"It's not her." Vision and Pietro said together.
"That's because it's what she's good at." You sighed. "She was our small town superhero, although no one actually knows its her, not even her parents. That's what she does. She stops bank robberies or shootings or solves kidnappings or puts out fires. She doesn't do anything big, just small things. So to her, the bombs were just another thing she's good at stopping. She probably waterlogged all the mechanisms and told us to leave as a precaution."
"Why hasn't she tested out her abilities with SHIELD or the Avengers?" Fury asked, leaning forward on his elbows.
"She doesn't want to be a big name superhero. She just wants to do stuff for the little people. She said she'd leave the saving the world to the professionals, but for now she'd just do her part to protect those she could."
"I like her." Steve said. "She has a good moral system. It's not her."
"Could FRIDAY possibly track any and all people that have visited the Scuba kiosk and the karaoke bar ahead of time and see if there are any similar peoples?" Rhodey asked.
"FRIDAY?" Tony asked.
"Right away Mr. Stark." FRIDAY's voice said from his watch.
There was some silence before T'Challa said, "So should we just stay in the hotel tomorrow?"
"If we do that the whole building will probably come down." Natasha muttered darkly.
Bruce gave her a warning look while Sam flat out glared at her.
You blanched a little.
OMG I'M FREAKING CRYING. I WAS LOOKING FOR MORE FANART TO POST AND I FOUND THIS:
I'M CRYING SO HARD 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Here is something happy:
Okay back to story 🥺 :
"We can just go out to the ocean." Stephen said. "Find a secluded spot away from people. That should benefit everyone."
"That sounds good." You said softly.
There was another moment of silence until FRIDAY's voice said, "Sir, I have a potential suspect."
"Good job sweetheart." Tony drawled, looking happier. "Send everything to you know what."
"Yes sir." FRIDAY replied.
Tony pulled out his laptop and then said, "This'll probably be a while. The rest of you should get some sleep, I'll let you know when I'm done."
You nodded, getting to your feet. You hugged the others good-bye and then you decided that you would go and stay with Loki and Thor tonight.
Loki and Thor had gotten separate beds and you climbed into Loki's for tonight. He sat up against the headboard, reading that poetry book again.
"What are you reading?" You asked softly as Thor started to snore. Despite popular belief, he didn't sound like an elephant. He was actually a very quiet snorer.
"It's a poem called 'Never trust a mirror'." Loki whispered. "Would you like me to read it to you?"
You nodded, pulling the covers over you while you laid your head down on his leg. He rested one hand in your hair as he read:
"Never trust a mirror, For a mirror always lies, It makes you think that all you're worth can be seen from the outside.
Never trust a mirror, It only shows what's skin deep You can't see how your eyelids flutter when you're drifting off to sleep.
It doesn't show you what the world sees When you're only being you or how your eyes light up When you're loving what you do
It doesn't capture when you're smiling Where no-one else can see And your reflection cannot tell you, How much you mean to me.
Never trust a mirror For it only shows your skin. And if you think it dictates your worth It's time you looked within"
And by the time he finished with the last word, you were fast asleep.

Religion in the Empires: Fae Squad Edition
General disclaimer that, for the most part, the religions in the empires are not analogous to Christianity at all, beyond the general inevitable flavors that come from both the ccs and myself originating in culturally Christian environments.
The exception to this is a little bit the Rivendell siblings, as the way that was set up in canon and grown in the fandom does lend itself to some very Christianity-oriented looks at religion and religious trauma and, at least to an extent, that will be playing out. It will not be a major theme in anything most likely, but it’s there.
And reminder that the modern western approach to religion is historically unusual.
Katherine:
As Guardian of the Overgrown who is able to communicate with the Spring, Katherine culturally functions as a sort of priestess/conduit for Nature. Its actually a similar role to the one Pix holds in Pixandria in some ways, while being distinct because the Spring is less of a god in a pantheon (like the goddess of death that Pix is connected to) and is instead The Overgrown itself.
House Blossom is only one of the Fae Courts but all of them are more animistic than their more mortally-aligned neighbors.
Smajor:
The reform method of dealing with religious trauma. Is genuinely very religious on a personal level and so is kind of the default royal for presiding at religious events that Xornoth is technically ineligible for (elaborated on below)
On a more general level, Aeor’s church is one of Scott’s favorite places. It was the one place he could hide from his parents during the worst years and even the priests generally didn’t bother him there. When he’s mad at Xornoth it’s where he goes because he knows he won’t be followed. So aside from any religious aspects the church building is a Safe Space for him.
That being said does have some deep-running trauma from the fundamentalist practices and ideals that ruled during his parent’s reign and his childhood.
Xornoth:
“I will face god and walk backwards into hell.” Has a literal god living in their head and refuses to do what any god wants ever. Especially the one in their head.
Their relationship with Aeor is extremely complicated, mostly because they (Xornoth and Aeor) are in a weird sort of stasis where they can’t be openly hostile to each other because that would make Exor happy and Scott sad, which they’ve sort of reluctantly concluded are both things neither of them want to happen, to varying degrees. Xornoth avoids Aeor’s church, Aeor leaves Scott alone and continues to bless Rivendell with the usual level of protection and prosperity and they sort of continue through life ignoring each other.
Xornoth was officially labeled as a blasphemer by the high priest of Aeor under their parents’ rule, technically that was never rescinded but the current high priest doesn’t enforce or draw attention to it. (The main reason it hasn’t been rescinded is equal parts it is technically theologically accurate and Xornoth finds it funny/is very proud of it)
Shrub Berry:
As an inter-dimensional refugee they spent some time existing in a sort of religious limbo. The gnomes were very much about casual worship of the local patrons and she doesn’t know who protects the Undergrove for quite some time. Meeting the Mother Wolf is a huge relief for her, though the close connection that the Mother Wolf initiated was a bit of a shock.

Task Force What? An Incomplete (Yet Still Very Long) Guide to Some of the DCU’s Government Groups [Part 2]
Welcome back to my writeup on 13 of the DCU's government organizations. Recognizing that everything in Part 1 was a ton of information to parse through, here’s a rough timeline of some of the groups’ movements and reorganizations. This time, I’ve put important people’s names in bold so you can track them. Again, much thanks to my editors and beta readers.
Part 1: Organization Descriptions and Histories
Part 2: Timeline
Part 3: Reading Suggestions
1940s-1980s
During WWII, Squadron S earns the nickname “The Suicide Squad” due to its high morality rate. Rick Flag Sr. is brought in to turn the squadron around, eventually making it a highly decorated and effective unit.
Senator McCarthy tries to force the Justice Society of America to unmask. They refuse, instead choosing to go into hiding.
Without the Justice Society to protect the U.S. from “extraordinary” threats, the President authorizes the creation of Task Force X. This group consisted of two wings: Argent and The Suicide Squad.
Rick Flag Sr. is killed in action during a Suicide Squad mission. This version of the Squad is disbanded.
Control, the leader of Argent, kills someone involved in JFK’s assassination. He subsequently directs Argent to go underground.
A new version of the Suicide Squad is formed, led by Rick Flag Jr. This version disbands after a mission in Cambodia. Flag’s supervisor reveals that the Squad was ultimately doomed anyway due to budget cuts.
At some point during the Cold War, Spyral is formed by the U.N., led by Otto Netz.
Project Cadmus is founded.
Sarge Steel becomes a leader in, if not the director of, the Central Bureau of Intelligence.
Katherine Webb Kane becomes Batwoman to try to uncover Batman’s identity for Spyral.
The Agency is founded by Valentina Vostok. The Agency’s work includes Project: Peacemaker.
Roy Harper joins the Central Bureau of Investigation. He meets Jade Nguyen through his work with the CBI.
Katherine Webb Kane is apparently killed by Ben Turner, the Bronze Tiger, while he is under the control of the League of Assassins.
Otto Netz is revealed to be a double agent and is imprisoned.
Mr. Bones is a quasi-member of Infinity Inc., legacy heroes springing from the Justice Society.
1980s-2000s
Amanda Waller presents her plan to reactivate Task Force X. This new Suicide Squad will use supervillains for high risk, covert missions. The Agency will be brought into Task Force X and subsequently reorganized as Checkmate, though Project: Peacemaker remains independent.
Rick Flag Jr. is made field leader of the Suicide Squad. Ben Turner, seeking atonement, becomes his second in command.
Sarge Steel is officially the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Harry Stein is made King of Checkmate.
Amanda Waller and her Suicide Squad discover the remenants of Argent. With the majority of its members gone, Argent is officially declared to be disbanded.
The Janus Directive occurs. Massive reorganizations happen.
Task Force X is dissolved as an umbrella organization.
Amanda Waller is left in charge of the Suicide Squad.
Harry Stein remains as King of Checkmate, but they are forced to relocate. Project Peacemaker is incorporated into Checkmate.
Sarge Steel is made the Director of Metahuman Affairs, and is the direct supervisor for all other metahuman related agencies. He continues to oversee the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Amanda Waller disbands her Suicide Squad.
After the death of Superman, Project Cadmus tries to clone him. This results in the creation of Superboy.
Project Cadmus fires “mad scientist” Dabney Donovan.
A “clone plague” begins to affect Project Cadmus creations. This is revealed to be the creation of Dabney Donovan, who kills Paul Westfield.
Mickey Cannon becomes the new head of Project Cadmus. He keeps Dabney Donovan as an imprisoned scientific advisor and brings in geneticist Serling Roquette.
Harry Stein resigns as King of Checkmate. Phil Kramer and Kalia Cambell are made King and Queen, respectively.
Roy Harper leaves the CBI.
Mr. Bones is made the Director of the Department of Extranormal Operations.
Cameron Chase joins the Department of Extranormal Operations.
The Department of Extranormal Operations subcontracts A.P.E.S members Donald Fite and Ishido Maad for a recovery mission.
Lex Luthor becomes president.
Amanda Waller replaces Sarge Steel as Secretary of Metahuman Affairs in the Luthor Administration.
Knightwatch, a more militaristic branch of the Department of Extranormal Operations, protects the U.S. President from metahuman threats.
Director Bones manipulates the Justice Society into going against Kobra on the DEO’s behalf. This is not well received by the JSA.
Lex Luthor starts the Human Defense Corps to try to build a non-metahuman response team to extraordinary threats.
The Central Bureau of Investigation is absorbed into the Department of Extranormal Operations.
Sarge Steel becomes the head of the Department of Metahuman Affairs, a subdivision of the DEO.
Sasha Bordeaux is recruited into Checkmate by Jessica Midnight.
David Said is promoted to King
Helena Bertinelli is blackmailed by David Said into accepting a position as a Queen in Checkmate.
Lex Luthor leaves the White House. Amanda Waller subsequently leaves her position as Secretary for Metahuman Affairs.
Director Bones and Cameron Chase recruit Kate Spencer, the Manhunter, to work for the Department of Extranormal Operations.
Maxwell Lord becomes Black King of Checkmate.
Infinite Crisis happens.
Maxwell Lord kills Ted Kord once Kord uncovers Lord’s plot to use Checkmate against metahumans.
Sasha Bordeaux sends Batman evidence of Kord’s death, leading Lord to activate the OMACs to try to exterminate all Checkmate agents and metahumans on Earth.
Maxwell Lord is killed by Wonder Woman.
One Year Later
After Checkmate is rechartered as a U.N. organization, Amanda Waller is made White Queen. Due to her involvement in the Luthor White House, the U.N. only agrees to let Waller into Checkmate if she does not run operations. This means she cannot run any operations. The other initial leaders of this new Checkmate are Sasha Bordeaux, Alan Scott, and Taleb Beni Khalid.
Wonder Woman joins the Department of Metahuman Affairs in her new identity as Diana Prince.
Alan Scott resigns from Checkmate, tapping his Bishop–Michael Holt–to be the new White King.
Despite being prohibited from running operations, Amanda Waller reactivates a Suicide Squad and begins Operation: Salvation Run.
Once other Checkmate officials find out what Amanda Waller is up to, she is forced to resign from Checkmate. However, by that point, most supervillains had been deported via Operation: Salvation Run.
Squad K is developed out of the Human Defense Corps to specifically deal with Kryptonian threats.
After the events of Brightest Day, Maxwell Lord returns to life. He erases most of the world’s memory of him and begins a discrediting campaign against Checkmate in an attempt to regain power.
Talia al Ghul creates the Leviathan Organization. She frees Otto Netz from his imprisonment so that he can assist Leviathan.
Batman Incorporated begins to move against Leviathan, clearing the organization out of St. Hadrian’s Finishing School for Girls.
Damian Wayne kills Otto Netz to save Batman from a trap.
The New 52 Happens
Spyral takes control of St. Hadrian’s
Katherine Webb Kane reveals that she faked her death to lead Spyral in secret.
A.R.G.U.S. is founded to support metahumans at the federal level.
Dick Grayson is unmasked as Nightwing, and is recruited by Helena Bertinelli to be an agent of Spyral.
Bertinelli and Grayson leave Spyral. Tiger becomes the new Patron of Spyral.

so, you see...kitty and mouse are idiots in love...
(tw; swearing)
HANG ON
THIS
THIS IS LITERALLY THEM!!
For months, while working together, Kitty would sit on Mouse's desk and the two of them would make googly at each other.
The entire Intelligence Unit knew it, the entire Firehouse 51 knew it, the entire hospital of Chicago Med knew that Katherine "Kitty" Halstead and Gregory "Mouse" Gerwitz were in love.
Well, maybe not Jay and Will.
You see, these two had been away from their baby sister for so long, they didn't remember what her being in love looked like.
So all her slight giggling, her legs swinging, beat red face just look like she was being fuckin' weird, in the eyes of her older brothers.
It took Erin pointing out the fact that every time Squad 1 is at the 21st, Kitty always goes to Mouse and his desk without fail, for Jay to realise "hang on, my best friend and little sister have been flirting with each other the entire time!"
He's a little more stressed that Will is upon realisation because, in the middle of a life-or-death situation, Jay made Mouse promise to protect Kitty with his life if Jay wasn't around to do it.
And clearly, Mouse took that if literally.
So Jay's just realising his sister and best friend are likely sleeping together when—a guy trying to kill his girlfriend, then his apparent aunt reveals that he's actually the Halstead siblings' uncle?!
And Kitty's having a crisis that their mother lied to her about everything, and Jay's completely forgotten that his best friend and sister are likely (but not actually) sleeping together.
THIS is when they actually start sleeping together, after her maternal uncle is dead and they've both suffered a life-or-death situation where she killed her own uncle to save his life.
And Mouse, in his sweet guilty heart, confesses to Jay he's had feelings for Kitty for a while but never initiated anything because 1. that's his bestie's little sister and 2. he figured Kitty didn't reciprocate anything.
Jay asks Kitty about her and Mouse sleeping together, and why she never told him she like his best friend. She ALSO didn't think he reciprocated her feelings.
#so he calls them both idiots and makes them both promise to at least tell him when he's gonna be an uncle#will literally couldn't care less because he knows about the promise and he knows mouse makes kitty happy#she literally ran to him like the next day and gossiped about how amazing mouse was in bed to will in the middle of his shift#will was dying inside because she was going in extreme detail too#“who am i meant to tell? mom? she's dead.” “KITTY—”#poor guy us trying to make sure his co-workers and patients dont hear about his sister's personal life poor thing#chicago fire#one chicago#chicago pd#chicago med#one chicago oc#halstead sister#jay halstead#halstead sister au#will halstead#kitty halstead

how do your OCs do with platonic relationships? do you have any aplatonic OCs? :)
Ooooh, very good question!!
I don't have any aplatonic OCs, and most of my OCs value their friends incredibly closely. In particular, Katherine is incredibly close to her friends and considers them her family away from home. Quinn also thrives with a close-knit circle to rely on, which is part of why she's drawn to parkour and thieving crews.
On the other side of things are the OCs who end up stumbling into friendships. They're not aplatonic, but they don't really seek platonic relationships out for one reason or another. Eris tends to keep a little distance because they're not sure it's worth forming connections when they'll outlive any regular human, but they end up getting close to the Squad anyway. Similar story for Nikoletta: she wants to keep up the illusion of impartial power, so she tends to be pretty icy most of the time, but she still gets protective over the ones she ends up caring about - Cleo, DuBois and his daughter, etc.
(a lot of my stories involve really intense, unbreakable friendships honestly. I think it stems from the fact that I myself would do anything for my friends, I love my friends more than anything)

TEN Mutants with weird mutation powers.
Welcome to House of MilesVerse, and today? It's gonna get weird.
The X-Men are the poster boy of freaky mutations who despite their genetic status? Use their abilities to protect a world that wants to oppress them. The X-Men have been home to many characters with abilities that aren't natural.
Cyclops? He fires beams out of his eyes that he can't shut off. He has to wear a visor all the time.
Wolverine? He's got adamantium claws.
Nightcrawler is blue-skinned, has a tail, has two toes and fingers, and resembles a devil.
Chances are if you physically tough Rogue's skin, you will literally die.
But we are not talking about those losers today, we're going to go even WEIRDER. There are plenty of X-Men with abilities that are weird. Some of them might be freaky, some of them might just seem off-putting ('Mental Tag'? Seriously???), but they're all lumped under this umbrella.
I think we should dive on in. Fun fact, did you know that the TV Series pilot Pryde of the X-Men would feature an Australian Wolverine? Chances are if the series was successful, Wolverine would've been an Australian native instead of being, y'know, Canadian.
Makes me wonder if there's an 'Australian' Alpha Flight.
Number Ten: Tag. Is that it???
Hey, Tag! You're it.
Brian Cruz was a member of the Hellions Squad, from the Academy-X era of X-Men. His psionic ability is probably the most unusual I have seen. When he tags someone, he creates a psionic signal that either causes people close by to run toward that person or run away.
It's a cool power; if it helps, he's far from the weirdest person here. But in some parts, straight telepathy might be preferred as a power. And the fact of the matter is? The X-Men has that in dozens.
Number Nine: Goldballs. That's the joke.
Goldballs - aka Fabio Medina, is a joke character. His ability swings between 'mildly useful' and 'funny as hell'. I almost feel like he's a waste of a slot here. But still, folks seem to get a kick out of the guy so he's here.
Goldballs can fire out golden spheres as projectiles. He's probably really good at dodgeball then. Yeah, turns out those golden spheres are actually nonfertile eggs. When made fertile, they could be used to resurrect mutants, thanks to the gifts supplied by The Five.
Number Eight: Okay, Eye Scream is pretty freaking weird.
Eye Scream, we all Scream for this guy to go away.
Eye Scream is a mutant who can create ice cream from his body. Yes, even Banana Split and I'm questioning how possible that is. Worth noting he's an X-Men character who debuted outside of the X-Men stories, originating from Obnoxio The Clown.
Either way, his power is pretty freaking weird. He can make ice cream from his body, how sanitary is that supposed to be? I mean it could be worse, I could be covering the mutant who can poop Ice Cream.
Number Seven: Nobody's got a bone to pick like Marrow.
Marrow is a Morlock, who are basically all the mutants whose mutations make them unable to pass as humans. They hide in the sewers and tend to hate humans back and forth.
Marrow's powers enable her to control the growth of her bone structure. She can control their shape, and toughness, which surprisingly comes in handy. After all, this is more or less creating bony protrusions that she uses as weapons. She's not bone claw wolverine but you gotta admit, that is a really weird... and strangely kinda-cool power.
Number Six: You don't see anybody like Adam-X the X-treme anymore.
Adam-X the X-Treme! I love that name to be honest, because of how overly top it is. I swear he and Cable have to be competing for the most '90s' X-Men dudes.
Adam-X is Adam Neramani, the genetically engineered child of Shi'Ar Emperor D'Ken, and Katherine Summers. Yes, Summers, this means that Adam-X is basically stepbrothers with Cyclops, and Havok.
Adam's abilities enable him to send an electrical charge through oxygenated blood. Basically, he can make your blood boil and burn you from the inside out. He's got blades to cut into you, which makes it all the easier for him.
Number Five: Eye Boy's got some very uh, interesting powers.
Trevor Hawkins is Eye-Boy, blessed with the mutation of numerous eyes being all over his body. I'm not sure if this is a gift, but he didn't exactly hit the mutant genetics lotto. That's got to be creepy to look at after a long time.
His powers can be useful, though. Trevor's eyes allow him to see beyond what normal people can. He's got enhanced sight, including telescopic, microscopic, infrared, night, and many other forms of vision. It's not something you would want on the frontlines, but it is interesting to have for another situation. You know, like investigations, which he was a part of on Krakoa.
Number Four: Chamber literally does not have a mouth apparently.
Jonothon Starsmore, aka 'Chamber' was a london teenager whose powers activated a mutant furnace in his chest. The explosion gravely injured his girlfriend, and also left him with a very... interesting situation.
I'll just get down and say it; Chamber's powers are freaky, in a way that the X-Men commonly tackle. He's a hero, but how his abilities affect his body is terrifying. It's created a burning furnace in his upper chest, forcing him to keep his mouth cloaked. Can you imagine that?
Number Three: Listen up, Maggott.
I actually don't feel weird about how high up this guy is. He's like, infamously weird for being an X-Men character. Oh, anyways? Maggott is a blue-skinned mutant from South Africa. He was also a former morlock, something he shares in common with Marrow.
Let's just get to the point; Maggott has a sentient digestive system. This digestive system appears as two enormous slug-like beings, 'Eany' and 'Meany'. Whatever they eat, Maggott will gain the energy from it which will give him a temporary boost to his energy and speed.
Yeah. That's something I'd rather not think about.
Number Two: Beak's weird, but he's definitely got the spirit.
Our resident birdbrain here actually seems to be a fanfavorite amongst X-Fans. He's weird, but Beak certainly has the spirit. After all, Beak helped defeat King Hyperion.
Beak was born with his abilities, an avian mutation that made him quite bird-like. He has hollow bones, and feathers that enable him to glide for short distances. Beak's nothing special, but he is good at making friends and has a big heart - even in spite of his pretty pathetic mutation.
Number One: Glob Herman is everyone's new friend.
And who else but someone the fans ALSO love to bring up? Glob Herman's a weird blob man, but he's a testament to mutant faith and unity. His father was full of hatred for mutants, but his mother had unwavering love and support for her son. She whisked him away to join Professor Xavier's school.
Glob Herman is a nice guy, but i don't think it can get any weirder than him. His 'skin' is made of paraffin, a translucent wax-like substance. Because of this, he's incredibly durable, and incredibly strong. He can even fling bits of himself off if he needs to.
Conclusion:
And that's all, folks! Sure hope you enjoyed this look at some of marvel's weird mutants. Trust me, there's even more out there like Lifeguard, or Skin. I think Marvel's merry mutants do a good job at portraying the 'weird'.
I'll update you guys on what we'll be talking about probably this week. I've got a few topics in mind that i figure might be worth covering. One of them being a very specific Cartoon Network MMORPG that came out years ago.
If you know, then you know. If not? Then i can't do anything for ya.

Just finished the second season of Legacies and everything about it is so different from TVD/Originals.
I would definitely say I’m overall enjoying it, and I like the characters (especially Hope, and the Saltzman twins), but it feels like it’s playing to an entirely different genre than the previous shows.
Where TVD was definitely playing to a teen vampire drama kind of audience, and The Originals thankfully went a bit more on drama and plot for an older audience, Legacies almost feels like it’s going for comedy vibes at times, and it’s REALLY jarring as a backdrop for how serious it seems like it thinks it’s being sometimes. It covers serious topics at times, but it just completely undercuts that with a lack of tonal sincerity compared to its predecessor.
Legacies plays out almost like a Buffyverse crackfic. It’s quite LITERALLY a monster of the week with season arcs, and plays to Buffyish archetypes (even calling the core cast the “super squad” as the stand in for “the scoobies”) but with such a GOOFY tone to much of it that it kind of undermines what made The Originals so good (and TVD at least a MEMORABLE hot mess).
One thing that actually bothers me is the HIDEOUSLY overused dramatic slow walk edits. It’s in every single episode, sometimes multiple times, and it just feels like they’re trying to EMPHASIZE drama to make up for the fact that, compared to the much better writing of The Originals, there really isn’t much.
A lot of the scenes where a lot of students are all in one place are really ham handed bullying allegories clearly written by adults who were never on the receiving end of it at that age. Just sloppy generic “every single teen will laugh at every mean thing said about someone else” scenes that feel horribly insincere and out of touch. The best example of teen bullying so far was probably the viciously catty relationship between Penelope and Lizzy, but then Penelope left at the end of season 1. Alyssa feels like she’s intended to fill that void, but Penelope’s history with and feelings for Josie made her a more compelling character with better connections to the story imo.
Also all of the hero talk is just way over the top. It’s like the characters KNOW they’re in a story, where TVD and TO just told a story instead. A lot of the decisions made in the scripting and editing of Legacies really feel like they undercut what made the previous shows (especially Originals) so good.
The stakes don’t necessarily feel high or low, they just feel weird. The stakes in TVD were pretty reliably “Katherine Piece is doing something that fucks up other people’s lives” or “ancient super-vampire Klaus Mikaelson is trying to undo the curse that stops him from also being a werewolf, and doesn’t care who he kills to get what he wants” and that fed into the vibe of “this story is about a girl who gets in over her head when she’s thrown into a world of vampires and supernatural bullshit.” The stakes in The Originals were almost always “Klaus made some enemies over his long life of impulsive anger and amoral backstabbing schemes, and now those enemies have the upperhand and threatened his family” and that fed into the vibe of TO being ABOUT the Mikaelson family and their long history of crimes and betrayals while ferociously protecting each other.
The stakes in Legacies so far are that there’s a pit of hell goo (like a shitty Hellmouth) that erases you from the world and everyone’s memory. There was literally an episode where Hope and Lizzy get sucked into an 80s video game themed magic prison with a minotaur who could have killed them. With actual 8-bit style editing effects as a stand-in for the usual generic aftereffects magic. The THREAT level is theoretically high, but it’s such an off the wall plot choice compared to the curses and backstabbing vampire/werewolf/witch drama in The Originals. And it just leaves Legacies feeling GOOFY in a way that doesn’t scratch the same itch. Which means the serious topics they TRY to cover in the show (grief, self harm, depression, self esteem, bullying) don’t FEEL serious because the tone can’t shift enough to match what they’re going for.
I’m still enjoying it, because I like the world and some of the characters (*COUGH* HOPEMIKAELSON), but it doesn’t have that same gut punching tear jerking drama that had me in tears every other episode like The Originals did. Of the three, The Originals was the one I was LEAST looking forward to, but halfway through Legacies, I’m already looking back on it as easily my favorite of the three. Originals knocked my heart on its ass dozens of times. That hard hitting season length drama was just so much more impactful from a storytelling perspective than dramatic slow mo shots of the super squad living in a world of CW’s Buffy fanfiction and acting like they know they’re in a story. Almost half the lines of dialogue feel like they were focused grouped to adults who were trying to guess what fanfic-writing tumblr teens wanted to hear. Some of the lines feel snappy, ish, but none of them feel sincere. They feel more like beating the audience over the head with their own performative checklist of allyship. Almost feels like they were trying to say “we agree Joss Whedon is a huge asshole, but we want nothing more than to write just like him.”
The end result is a show that can hit (maybe even exceed) the goofy levels of Buffy, but misses the mark on the serious notes that let Buffy get away with being such a powerhouse in the cultural memory. It rivals Buffy’s camp, but not Buffy’s depth or sincerity. You don’t get the Season 6 allegory for depression from a show that treats every other episode like the “everyone becomes their Halloween costume” plot.
It shouldn’t have tried to be Buffy. It should have tried to be The Originals aimed at the age bracket of The Vampire Diaries. It would have been a much better show if it had gone that route.
I’m still enjoying it, but coming right off the heels of The Originals, I’m largely disappointed by how much better it could have been if it kept that same writing style and tone.
But at least there’s gay stuff.
Hope should definitely kiss girls.

KATHERINE "KITTY" WILDE
☆ FULL NAME: Katherline "Kitty" Elise Wilde ☆ GENDER: Ciswoman ☆ PRONOUNS: She/Her ☆ AGE: 32 (January 18th, 1992) ☆ TYPE: Full sibling; solo ☆ HOMETOWN: Knoxville, Tennessee ☆ JOB: Youth Leader at Pacific Grace Church; Dance Team Instructor for PSU ☆ SCHOOL: PSU Alumni ☆ SEXUALITY: Heterosexual ☆ FACECLAIM: Willa Fitzgerald
ABOUT KITTY
Katherine Elise Wilde was born with two older brothers who were fiercely loyal & protective of her from the start. All she knew was that she always had someone to play with, someone to stand up for her on the playground when she was pushed out of the way. Which she didn’t let happen often, especially as she got older. She was content, happy with what she had. Church was just something that the family did every week and there wasn’t a choice about it.
Her world changed when her two younger sisters were born, questioning why she was by herself & didn’t have a “built-in best friend” twin. Of course she loved them and adored having other girls to play with -- dress up, nail painting, and Barbie dolls became her favorite parts of the day. But at the same time Kitty grew a little more introverted, not wanting to draw attention to herself and what she felt was an obvious difference. It wasn’t hard to do considering their parents had their hands full with five children. And she was comfortable that way, the dutiful daughter that didn’t want to rock the boat.
Music was one of the common traits that ran throughout the entire Wilde family, & while some of her siblings were singers or musicians, Kitty found herself drawn to dance. It was in her blood -- a way of expressing herself without words. And she was good at it. Dance lessons quickly became the thing that she looked forward to the most, taking as many as her parents would allow while still having time for her faith and schoolwork. She debated auditioning for the cheer squad in high school but was immediately reprimanded by her father who called the girls “attention whores” and lamented the state of the young women. So Kitty threw herself into ballet, her gracefulness something she worked hard to perfect and display even in her everyday movements.
Although Kitty had her suspicions about her father, they weren’t confirmed until Zach’s on air display when she was 12. She begged Gabriel to tell her the real story, the true reason why he was always so tense and upset. And that’s when her world fell apart for the first time. She wasn’t oblivious, just chose to ignore the indications that things weren’t quite so picture perfect in the Wilde family as if they would just disappear without attention. So she struggled a lot without Zach, mostly in her faith. How could a loving God let something like this happen? Wasn’t her father supposed to be the best? It felt like a facade, like a lie they had been portraying to the entire nation. Ironically, Kitty’s faith is what got her through one of the hardest times in her life, her reliance on God stronger than ever as she continued to figure out what it all meant for her now. It was how she ended up working at Pacific Grace after graduation from PSU, feeling her own calling to encourage others in their faith as well. She also instructs the dance team at the university, unable to fully let go of that part of her life (and sometimes wishing it was more prevalent).
As far as relationships went, Kitty never had a boyfriend until high school, per her father’s rules and also due to her general fear about it. He had made it seem like boys only wanted one thing and she was to be on her guard at all times. And at first she thought he had been right. A string of relationships ended because Kitty wouldn’t have sex, determined to wait until marriage. Which, until recently, seemed like it was in the near future. She became engaged to her college sweetheart, someone she met through the campus ministry and fell head over heels for before she realized what had happened. He was different, not like those other boys from before. Never pressuring her, convincing her that he understood and was more than happy to wait with her. The “perfect relationship” to all of their adoring fans on Wilde Faith. All words that became meaningless when she walked in on him having sex with her roommate about a month ago -- the second time her world collapsed. She called off the engagement and broke up with him immediately, ultimately devastated but determined not to let anyone know just how much. Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be for her, and that was alright. At least, that’s what she was currently trying to convince herself while filling her life with distractions to avoid facing her real feelings. They haven’t made a public statement yet although it’s not like things are a secret; Kitty just wants to avoid the public spotlight as much as possible for the time being.
FAMILY BACKGROUND
At first, Aaron Wilde was just like any other pastor. He was loved by many in Knoxville, and that’s how it stayed for many years. As the years went on, though, he grew in popularity. Everyone in Tennessee would travel to see him - especially the housewives with nothing better to do. Did Aaron’s good looks have everything to do with his popularity? Absolutely. Which is why it was no surprise when someone in Los Angeles called him, asking him if he’d like to have his own church (that seated 17,000 people). He agreed, of course. Aaron moved his whole family to Los Angeles so he could be the pastor of Pacific Grace Church. Aaron Wilde became the best-known pastor in the United States, with several people from all over the United States coming over to see him give sermons. Every sermon was televised. Aaron did this for seven years, and then was offered a reality television deal. They named the show Wilde Faith, and it followed around the Wilde family to show off how they were a perfect Christian family. Wilde Faith was on for six seasons, as Aaron continued to be the pastor at Pacific Grace. After the six seasons, they decided to end because Aaron said “he talked to God and He said it was time to stop”. Aaron continues to work at Pacific Grace to this day. Elizabeth is the happy and dutiful wife to him, and that’s about it.
